    Who am I?

    I’m a licensed clinical psychologist and certified equine psychotherapist, but you might also call me a “horse whisperer.”  I help you understand horses’ behaviors which provides you feedback, increases your self-awareness, and ultimately eliminating emotional pain and suffering.


    What do I do?

    I help people who long to find relief, but hold back because they feel that they can handle the situation on their own.

    Horses have always been a huge part of my life and they have been valuable teachers and healers.  Through my years of riding horses, I have had some falls resulting in injuries.  Imagine a friend telling me that seeing a doctor meant that I was too weak to recover from these injuries on my own.  Or that I shouldn’t feel pain or fear?  Asking for help is brave.  You do not need to tough it out on your own.  Improving your mental health does not mean that there is something wrong with you.  Just like physical therapy helps your body to heal, psychotherapy is a tool that lets you explore yourself- processing emotions so your mind can heal.

    How do I help?

    I know from over 20 years of supporting and encouraging people that your life can be happy and less distressing.

    I believe that courageous people who are willing to try something different can change their world.

    Clients who come to me may have tried traditional therapy before and are looking for something different.  Integrating horses into the therapeutic process can shed light on our feelings, even when they are unclear to us.

    I guide people in self exploration, making connections so that they can manage emotions.  My clients build  skills, so they learn how to handle internal (emotions) and external (situations such as work) stresses. Together we explore, figuring out what thoughts and feelings get in your way.  Together, we create a plan to help you move forward.
